Tyler Plum

Flour contains the carbohydrate starch.  Starch is a polysaccharide that is produced by many plants to store energy.

This candle is a wax.  A wax is a carbohydrate made up of fatty acids and alcohol chains.

This table sugar is a carbohydrate.  Sucrose, as it is known, is a disaccharide that is used by the body for quick energy.

This centipede is an example of an animal with a segmented body.  A segmented animal has a series of repetitive body sections.

Meristem is the tissue in plants where growth and flower growth is enabled.

These bulbs are stems that have been modified to store food and energy.

This succulent leaf  is modified to hold water for CAM cycle processes.

This tree represents asexual reproduction of cells.  Trees reproduce through sexual reproduction of the germ cells.  However, to become multicellular, the new cell must copy itself through mitosis.  This process is asexual.

The potato is a modified root.  Its modified to store food and carbohydrates.

Milk contains many proteins that act as enzymes.  It contains enzymes that keep it in a liquid form.  When proteins are added to it to coagulate it, it becomes yogurt.

This plant shows to different alleles for the same trait.  Some of the flowers are pink while others are light pink with a white starburst.

This fungus uses air to shoot spores into the atmosphere.  Spores are reproductive structures that contain genetic material.  They can survive for millenia and still be fertile.

This sunflower plant is producing giberellins as it creates the reproductive structures and  flower parts.  Gibberelins are plant hormones that are produced to grow the stem and reproductive structures.

This flower produces pollen, which contains the sperm cells of seed producing plants.
